Head of Development (m/f/d) Netherlands

Functional area: Renewables; Project Development 

 

As Head of Development Netherlands, you will be responsible for the business success and growth of RWE Renewables in the Netherlands for Onshore and PV/Storage technologies​. You will build up a project portfolio in the Netherlands with strong focus on origination and deliver best in class project development to ensure renewables projects for financial investment decision (FID) with the right LCOE level​.

 

 Your Tasks:

  • Developing and delivering upon a high-quality pipeline of projects up to the investment decision and handover to the construction teams​
  • Leading the team of Origination, Development PV, and Wind to ensure:
    • Developing a pipeline strategy to deliver growth targets for onshore, solar and storage (co-location)
    • Delivering project pipeline from origination until financial investment decision
    • Ensuring all origination milestones are completed at cost competitive levels and ensuring compliance rules for handover to development team
    • Ensuring all project milestones are completed at cost competitive levels and ensured compliance rules to proceed to investment decisions
    • Managing the pipelines for all regions balancing regional distribution and project maturity
  • ​Building-up strong strategic relationships with stakeholders like partners, service providers, landowners, customers, and relevant authorities
  • Exploring different growth opportunities in the market to foster the growth such as Partnerships, project/pipeline acquisitions etc.
  • Supporting H2 for RWE developments in the Netherlands

 

Your profile:

  • Excellent university degree; MBA or similar post graduate degree is a plus
  • Extensive relevant work experience and successful team leadership experience in an international/corporate business environment
  • Relevant experience in developing renewable onshore wind and/or PV plants
  • Proven track record in delivering projects and subsequent growth
  • Knowledge about the Dutch renewables market with a solid networking
  • Proven track record in setting up performance and result oriented work organizations and their continuous improvement towards business requirements 
  • Ability to inspire teams to achieve the targets set up to contribute to the Onshore and PV growth in the Netherlands   
  • Entrepreneurial mindset to identify and progress with opportunities and the ability to operate successfully even in uncertain and/or unclear business environments
  • English and Dutch language skills are mandatory
