About the role

Gain practical insight into the day-to-day operation of an offshore wind farm.
Build hands-on offshore engineering experience by working on wind turbines.
Support the development and implementation of engineering policies and procedures for wind farm operations.
Take ownership of an allocated project from the initial stage through to completion.
Contribute to tasks supporting strategic engineering and commercial decision-making.
Assist with the planning, scheduling and delivery of maintenance work to optimise costs and plant performance.
Deliver selected engineering projects for Robin Rigg Offshore Windfarm based on the relevant degree discipline and experience.

Job requirements and experience

Ongoing studies in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, IT, Computing and Networking or a related discipline.
Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree programme.
Very good written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
Confidence working in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders.

A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
