Working student Regulatory Affairs

To start as soon as possible, Full time, Fixed Term for 12 months

RWE Renewables ranks among the largest global players in power generation from renewable energies with a total installed generation capacity of 9 gigawatts and an additional 2.6 gigawatts under construction. In Poland during the last years we have built wind farms with total installed capacity of 370 MV and we are planning further growth. We are preparing next projects in PV sector and we are pursuing our ambitions in offshore.

We are currently looking for a person who would like to get to know an interesting company and industry and gain first experience in the Regulatory Affairs department, where we build an understanding of the functioning and potential of individual renewable energy technologies and analyse the regulatory environment on energy markets in Poland and Europe through the prism of business realities.

Your tasks

  • Monitoring and analysing regulatory development, preparing summaries and reports in a context of current and new business activities
  • Supporting the drafting of memos and presentations that are insightful in content, in a simple and concise form
  • Collecting and processing information on the energy market and renewable energy
  • Participation in the international exchange of knowledge in this field
  • Supporting the team in the ongoing work on the regulatory strategy and specific projects, discussions and development of good practices
  • Coordination of the Monthly Business Intelligence Report
  • Supporting regulatory affairs team on ad-hoc requests

Your profile

  • 5th year student, faculty related to energy, environmental protection, economy, political science or inter-faculty studies
  • Basic knowledge of energy markets and renewables
  • Interest in politics as well as how regulation influences business decisions
  • Communication skills and the ability to translate complex issues into a language adapted to the situation and the recipient, confirmed in practice
  • Independence, willingness to develop and learn
  • Proficient use of power point
  • Sense of humour and openness to work in a diverse, international team
  • Fluency in English (including business language) and Polish
