Senior Stakeholder Manager Offshore Poland (PL) RWE Renewables Offshore

Reporting to Country offshore Development Lead Poland and supporting mainly greenfield activities but also FEW Baltic II porject, the Senior Stakeholder Manager will lead the development and execution of engaging strategies that will strengthen position of RWE Offshore Wind Business development in Poland. This is an engaging and influential position that will support key executives in Poland and in the region and will lead on the stakeholder aspects of the offshore wind farm business. Management of Polish stakeholders is a key part of this role including those in the public, political and supply chain industry area.

 

Your main tasks:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement strategy for offshore wind business development in Poland with the main focus on greenfield stream.

  • Positioning RWE offshore wind business in Poland towards RWE’s key stakeholders from the political, public, authorities, local communities, renewables business and supply chain industry area.   

  • Maintain strong and positive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the smooth progress of business development.

  • Taking part in lobbying activities and working groups within in the associations and with authorities

  • Identifying, analyzing, communicating, documenting and negotiating with stakeholders such as appropriate organization and/or person as necessary, including but not limited to authorities, governmental bodies, medias, PR agencies, local organization, local people, consultants, partners, developers, contractors, lenders and the Project members

  • Maintain an overview of all national and local policy decisions and communications that might impact the business.

  • Represent the company at a wider array of meetings, workshops, conferences, and other relevant local stakeholder events.

  • Monitor and anticipate any issues with the stakeholders and consider mitigation strategies

  • Cooperation with the FEW Baltic II offshore wind project in the spectrum of stakeholder management and consenting issues

 

 

Your Skills: 

  • A degree in business, energy sector or equivalent qualification is desirable, but a proven background in a meaningful stakeholder activity for large industrial projects is essential
  • Proven experience of stakeholder and consent negotiating and delivering large capital projects and major consulting advice

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience and good expertise in project management Standards (e.g. PMBoK).

  • Hands-on experience of negotiating and/or managing a high volume of stakeholders and consenting issues at the same time on major infrastructure projects

  • Experience of working in the large scale energy industry, preferable renewable energy

  • Adaptability, out-of-the-box thinking and enjoyment in working together as a team to achieve goals

  • Strong self-performance management and delivery focus with the ability to balance conflicting requirements on quality, costs and time

  • Strong team worker with the ability to resource, manage and influence project teams in an inclusive manner and to lead teams where required

  • Fluent in  Polish and English (oral and written)
