Commercial Manager PPA (PL)

Your role

 

Would you like to work in the field of renewable energies? As Commercial Manager PPA you will ensure that RWE Renewables in Europe concludes complex power purchase agreements for renewable electricity with end customers.

The role owner is expected to search for new customers in different markets, to contact them and to develop and evaluate tailor-made offers for them. You will lead the negotiation and ongoing optimization of contracts and closely coordinate with relevant RWE Renewables and RWE Group functions. The position holder will be based in Warsaw (PL).

 

Your future plans

 

  • You will be responsible for the development of products, identification of customers, initiation, negotiations as well as the negotiation and conclusion of energy sales contracts (PPAs) and the sale of renewable energy certificates in Europe
  • To do so, you are looking at short and long-term commercial decisions to be made and negotiated to maximize revenue and reduce risk.

 

These areas include

 

  • Management of the overall process for energy sales contracts (PPAs) and the sale of renewable energy certificates
  • Development of new products and innovative renewable energy solutions to address relevant customer groups
  • Responsibility for all necessary renegotiations of commercial aspects of existing contracts and new contracts
  • Leading the relationship management of external partners, i.e. primary personal interaction with the counterparties for all commercial issues and decisions, e.g. renegotiation and modification of contract terms, assignment, novation or transfer as required.
  • Market research/analysis of competitor activity and a detailed understanding of any changes in regulatory or trading rules relating to long-term renewable energy transactions
  • Support of investment, M&A and divestiture activities, when external contracts for renewable energy and certificates are required

 

Your skills

 

  • A degree in a relevant discipline (e.g. business administration, economics)
  • several years of sales experience (3+) in the key account business
  • Considerable relevant experience and a proven track record in multi-million Euro contract negotiations
  • Excellent relationship management, customer awareness and external networking skills. Ability to interact and influence/negotiate at the highest level, including directors and officers of counterparties and their advisors.
  • Detailed knowledge of the renewable energy and PPA markets throughout Europe.
  • high commercial understanding and knowledge of the accounting of our projects/plants
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary project teams
  • strategic thinking to develop clear and easily communicated strategic concepts for the marketing of energy and certificates in complex market and regulatory environments
  • strong numerical skills, especially modeling skills are essential
  • excellent networking skills and strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • excellent English skills are essential, fluent German is highly appreciated
  • additional knowledge of the national language in the assigned market is an advantage, other European languages are useful
