Technical Contracting Manager (d/f/m) WTG/SMA (DE/ UK)

Your tasks

  • Prepare technical documentation for WTG- and SMA-tenders in close collaboration with procurement, engineering and resources assessment teams and the regional project and operations teams
  • Ensure consistency and transfer RWE’s common technical standards and requirements into project specific requirements, coordinating the input of engineering and regional project and operations teams
  • Evaluate offers; identify and evaluate deviations to RWE’s requirements in close collaboration with procurement, engineering and regional project and operations teams
  • Coordinate and lead technical negotiations of projects in close alignment with procurement, engineering and regional project and operations teams resulting in negotiated/signed contracts
  • Develop and implement technical standards and requirements in close collaboration with engineering, HSE and regional project and operations teams
  • Develop and implement technical guarantees for contracts in close collaboration with procurement, engineering and regional project and operations teams
  • Capture lessons learned out of the contracting processes as well as from stakeholders in RWE and support LCoE-reduction initiatives

Your profile

  • Bachelor or Master Degree (preferred) or equivalent in an engineering discipline
  • Experience in contracting of technical products and/or experience in project management, especially of offshore wind farm projects or other infrastructure projects
  • Ability to evaluate technical requirements against economic benefits through all phases of project life. Sound commercial knowledge and understanding of interfaces between commercial and technical contracts
  • Good technical understanding of WTGs, their subsystems, their functionalities and their interfaces to balance of plant and basic understanding of offshore logistics
  • Basic knowledge of engineering regulations and standards and of operation and maintenance activities of offshore wind farms
  • Strong negotiation influencing and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with a variety of key stakeholders on commercial, operational and technical issues
  • Planning and organizational skills including effective prioritizing
  • Team orientated with interdisciplinary interest and able to develop effective working relationships across regions and able to work in international teams, across functions and countries
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
