The Senior Associate, Asset Optimization, supports the management of projects of varying sizes (duration, funding, stakeholders, etc.) throughout the full project lifecycle. Project scopes range from installing physical equipment upgrades to strategic fleetwide improvement projects, with the goal of improving and/or optimizing AEP or processes in the Operations arena.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects and initiatives with site staff and other internal and external stakeholder groups (including Site Operations, Procurement, Engineering, Controlling, HSSE, Quality, etc.).
  • Focus on project execution strategy and development, as well as organizational projects with various internal stakeholders
  • Support and assist other Project Managers (e.g., with project scheduling, project controlling, etc.)
  • Serve as the key interface with contractors and ensure activities are performed in accordance with RWECE’s safety protocols
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, with quality, and within budget
  • Support the creation of status reports for management review
  • Promote a culture of safety, operational excellence, and value optimization for wind farm assets
  • Support the development of project office templates and processes
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Project Management certification is preferred, e.g., ACPM, PMP, etc.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in project management; experience in the renewable energy, utility-scale, and/or solar sections preferred
  • Experience in strategic project management and/or consulting is preferred
  • Ability to push/pull/lift tools and equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work safely in extreme environments (hot sun, cold, etc.)
  • Ability to walk, climb, and stand extensively during the workday
  • Knowledge of and experience with the use of hand and power tools
  • Knowledge of environmental and safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to travel to and from job sites as assigned 
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage customer relationships
  • Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space
  • Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
  • Strong leadership and communication and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
  • Ability to multi-task while working independently and as part of a team
  • Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Proven ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from a diverse set of backgrounds
  • Responds well to direction, is easy to challenge and develop, and is coachable
  • Is detail-oriented, has strong business acumen, and a sound understanding of business concepts

 

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York City is $80,500 - $120,700. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
