The Revenue Associate will support the accurate and timely recording of revenue-related transactions, assist with billing and collections processes, and help ensure compliance with accounting standards, including ASC 606, under the guidance of senior team members. The role also contributes to the integrity of financial reporting by supporting account reconciliations, audit preparation, and month-end close activities.
Role Responsibilities:
- Apply ASC 606 revenue recognition principles with guidance to ensure compliance
- Prepare weekly revenue-related journal entries and assist with monthly close process
- Support invoicing processes for reoccurring and usage-based billing to ensure accurate customer charges
- Assist in reconciling revenue, accounts receivable, and deferred revenue accounts
- Generate and analyze AR aging reports and support follow-up efforts with collections
- Identify and escalate billing or data discrepancies to senior team members
- Prepare support for audits and quarterly reviews done by internal and external auditors
- Support team members with day-to-day tasks, as needed
- Maintain clear and accurate process documentation to support audit readiness, compliance, and consistency across revenue accounting tasks
Job Requirements and Experiences:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or other related discipline, required
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in the finance area is preferred, with an emphasis on candidates who have successfully performed account reconciliations
- Must be a self-starting & motivated individual who is able to quickly pick up on new systems and effectively manage deadlines
- Prior experience in the energy market is highly preferred
- SAP experience is strongly preferred
- Contributes towards improvement initiatives
- Perform AR analysis and tasks as required
- Maintains process documentations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data to generate insights
- Excellent proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Teams
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong organization skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables
- Ability to multi-task, while working independently and as part of a team
- Motivated self-starter, goal-oriented, and strong problem-solving abilities

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in New York is $64,000 - $96,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
