Support the distributed operations teams and Remote Operations Center (ROC) through providing services and tools for asset monitoring, alarming, and analysis.  This position will be responsible for engaging with users of the CEB data historian (AVEVA PI) and alarming system (TopView) to assess business needs and develop solutions that will enable data-driven decision making across solar, wind, and battery operations.

 

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Maintain PI and TopView data engineering standards, tooling, and visualizations to meet needs of the growing asset portfolio
  • Implement data collection and quality standards for new construction and pre-existing assets
  • Scope of responsibilities include PI Asset Framework, PI tag configurations, tag taxonomies, operational displays, and critical alerts
  • Propose and implement process improvements
  • Implement PI and TopView use cases that support the improvement of daily operations and automation of internally developed analytics
  • Act as a strong team participant in an Agile environment and align to and product delivery and release management techniques
  • Perform site visits and face-to-face customer service engagement as appropriate
  • Support and troubleshoot issues experienced by end users, data quality investigations, and data quality corrections
  • Should be considered a trusted specialist by customers to quickly resolve reported issues
  • Train and educate users on how to use AVEVA PI and TopView clients
  • Train users on pulling data using the appropriate systems (such as PI, SEEQ, custom applications)
  • Optimize, automate, and document routine tasks related to data management

 

Education:

  • BS/BA or MS/MA in Engineering (Chemical, Computer Science, Electrical), Mathematics or similar field preferred

 

Experience:

  • 1+ years

 

Job Skills:

  • Data visualization using any commercial-off-the-shelf product (i.e. AVEVA PI, AspenTech, MS Power BI, Spotfire, Tableau, SEEQ, MS Excel) or programmatic methods (i.e. Python, MATLAB, R)
  • Can work with a team but can also take independent responsibility for projects
  • Perform and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Can work through ambiguous problems
  • Customer-oriented, enjoys making connections and building trust with people both in-person and at remote locations
  • Familiarity with both relational (SQL, Oracle) and No-SQL/Historian (i.e. AVEVA PI, GE Proficy) databases a plus
  • Familiarity with programming in one or more languages
  • Exposure to one or more SCADA systems a plus (i.e. Emerson Ovation, Rockwell FactoryTalk, Wonderware, Ignition)

 

Pay range: The annual base salary range for this position in California or New York City is $79,352 - $119,028 . The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations.
