Hydrogen is considered a beacon of hope for a climate-neutral energy system and will play a major role in the energy transition to decarbonise the industry. RWE is working at full speed on various green hydrogen projects across the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, Belgium and the UK, together with our partners from business, industry, research institutes and politics.

 

We have an office in Utrecht, close to the central station where we regularly meet. Other days we work from home or travel.

 

Your future plans

 

  • Representing RWE`s interest in the development and structuring of large scale/ commercial hydrogen projects and acting as an internal point of contact for the executive board

  • Identifying, initiating and structuring hydrogen project development opportunities in line with strategic objectives

  • Management and support of H2 projects up to project development phase and beyond

  • Development of partnerships and analysis of financing opportunities

  • Engaging in negotiations, discussions and continuous dialogue with internal and external industry experts

  • Optimising Hydrogen business scenarios in collaboration with different teams including technical, market, legal, licensing, regulatory etc

  • Work in collaboration with other parts of the business such as RWE Renewables and RWE Supply & Trading as well as H2 business experts

 

 Your Profile

  • Commercial experience in project management or corporate/ business development

  • Strong expertise and extensive network in one or more of the following industries; refineries, ammonia, chemicals, cement, glass, mobility (road or marine), or sustainable aviation fluids

  • Creativity in developing tailor made cooperation models with clients/partners

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Able to adapt to a dynamic work environment

  • Strong negotiation and communication skills across all levels including internal and external stakeholder management

  • Good knowledge of the energy market

  • A strong commercial and business development focus

  • Willingness to travel and work abroad sometimes

  • Business fluent in English

 

Advantageous

  • Experience in hydrogen business

  • Knowledge of Dutch or German

  • Other spoken languages in addition to those mentioned above
