Take the chance, become a Senior Legal Counsel (d/f/m) for Corporate & Transactions Law and grow together with us in an international environment.

Provide legal support for joint venture and project finance transactions as well as for M&A and corporate law matters with a focus on Offshore Wind projects in Japan.

Your future plans

• You are one of the key legal advisors for transactions related to Offshore Wind projects in Japan (specifically joint ventures, project finance and M&A) as well as for the management of corporate matters

• Advise and support the business on the drafting and negotiation of the related transaction documentation

• Moreover, you are a key contact for Japanese corporate law matters, including corporate housekeeping, restructurings, shareholder financing and the operation of joint venture partnerships

• Work across the international business of RWE Offshore Wind, alongside other members of the RWE Offshore Wind international Legal Team and engage with other support functions to deliver a holistic and streamlined service to the business of RWE Offshore Wind

• You are involved in and actively support the standardization of corporate governance processes and harmonization of corporate law and administrative assistance to all RWE Offshore Wind SPVs & JVs 

• If needed, the coordination of external legal advice is also part of your job

• Provide support, including liaising with external counsel, in related dispute resolution situations

Your profile

• Graduated in Japanese law with distinction and have a qualification to work as a bengoshi

• Several years of relevant working experience in joint venture, project finance and M&A transactions as well as corporate law in an international law firm or company, with a focus on renewables (and ideally Offshore Wind) matters

• Handling multiple tasks, taking on new responsibilities and prioritizing work in a deadline-intensive environment are one of your proficiency

• Good commercial, technical and strategic understanding

• Your organizational, analytical and communication skills are high.  

• Have a solution-oriented mindset which allows you to find the right legal and business solutions also in complex scenarios

• We can trust on your customer-orientation, paired with proven negotiations skills 

• A high level of engagement and flexibility is self-evident for you. You are able to work professionally and accurately in a time-sensitive setting

• Enjoy working in an international team and are open for occasional travel

• Moreover, in addition to Japanese, an excellent proficiency in English is essential
