Senior Legal Counsel Partnering / M&A (JP)

Your role

 

Provide legal support to M&A transactions, corporate law and housekeeping in the area of renewable energy in Japan

 

Your future plans

 

  • Be one of the key legal advisors handling all legal matters of RWE Renewables' renewable energy transactions
  • Advise the business on all transactional legal matters, including development of drafts and negotiation of related documentation to M&A and project finance transactions
  • Ensure corporate legal compliance by organizing an efficient corporate housekeeping relating to all local legal entities of RWE Renewables
  • Provide support (including liaising with external counsel) in related dispute resolution situations
  • Work across the international RWE Renewables' business, alongside other members of the RWE Renewables Legal Team and engage with other support functions to deliver a holistic and streamlined service to the business of RWE Renewables
  • Manage organizational or coordination tasks incl. process optimization 

 

Your profile

 

  • Graduated in law with distinction and qualified as solicitor in Japan
  • >5 years of working experience with M&A transactions and corporate law in an international law firm or company, preferably in the renewables energy sector 
  • Commercial and technical understanding
  • Organizational, analytical and communication skills, solution-oriented mindset
  • Customer-orientation and consulting skills
  • High level of engagement, enjoy working in an international team including travel
  • Flexibility and ability to work professionally and accurately under pressure
  • Management skills
  • Very good command of English is essential; capability of conducting negotiations in a further language is beneficial
