About the role
- Provide cost estimate input to investment models by managing and updating cost books that track technical, project, and financial assumptions and any relevant supporting information for base cases and scenarios.
- Monitor and manage project CAPEX, OPEX, and cashflow across project phases, maintaining accurate forecasts and schedules in alignment with key stakeholders (e.g., Package and Engineering Managers
- Conduct regular cost reviews with project teams to validate forecasts and identify risks, opportunities, and mitigation actions.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, Delegation of Authority, shareholder agreements, and local procedures.
- Support end to end controlling processes, including project setup, procure to pay, accruals, intercompany recharge and coordination with accounting, IT and other subsidiary.
- Prepare periodic management reports and KPIs for supported projects and market, including JV and shareholder reporting as required.
- Support JV financial management, including service contract invoicing, drawdowns, and business plan inputs.
- Manage budgets and general overheads, including commitment reviews, variance analysis, forecasting, and actual cost tracking.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure visibility and transparency on financial performance and reporting for both projects and functions.
Job requirements and experience
- Degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Understanding of contracts and financial aspects of offshore wind or comparable large‑scale infrastructure projects.
- Comfortable managing with complex large data sets including assumption and other relevant input
- Strong analytical and data visualization abilities; proficiency in Power BI is highly desired
- Effective communicator in English and Japanese within a multicultural, cross‑functional organization; additional European languages are an asset.
Advantageous, but not a must
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis or project financial management (e.g., FP&A, controlling, or investment appraisal), ideally within the renewable energy, EPCI, construction, or infrastructure sectors
