Marine Construction Manager (JP)

Your role

 

In order to support all the Offshore development and construction projects, and being able to prepare competitive bids in the future tenders, a new construction and logistics manager is needed. The role will act as interface between Construction Services and the Project Team and all the related technical and HSSE issues for RWE Renewable’s Offshore projects with the primary focus on Japan and the APAC region.
 

Your future plans

 

  • Responsible for time schedule, budget control and interdisciplinary coordination of marine construction activities
  • Arrange and report marine construction CAPEX to the LCOE Value Optimization Team for the creation of project databooks
  • Support budgetary proposal processes with domestic and international marine construction companies
  • Support procurement with preparation of contracts and vessel charter with marine construction companies
  • Contract Management after contract finalization
  • Creation of construction concepts for RWE’s projects in cooperation with the European experts for Foundation Installation, Cable Installation, Wind turbine installation plus other smaller construction works around an offshore wind project
  • Interface Management to foundation, electrical/cable and turbine package 
  • Interface Management to partner companies participating in projects together with RWE
  • After project award: Responsible for implementation of the developed construction concepts together with chosen supplier
  • Visits to local sites and municipalities to enhance local content/cooperation
  • Interface Management to authorities and governmental bodies: Coast Guard for Marine Safety, Ports and other relevant parties 
  • Support stakeholder management of pipeline projects 


Your profile

 

  • Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Marine Science Engineering or closely related
  • Experience on construction processes with regard to offshore (wind) projects
  • Strong intercultural, communication and negotiation skills
  • Strong project management skills
  • Strong team player, self-starting and highly motivated
  • A flexible approach to work and willingness to travel frequently in Europe and APAC
  • Ability to work offshore and at heights
  • Native/Very good Japanese language skills, very good English language skills
