About the role:

 

The Foundation Package Manager is accountable for the planning and delivery of the Foundation Package until handover to Operations, including the management of HSE, scope, quality, budget, resource, and time scheduling for the package in line with the project goals and governance.  
 
Your key tasks and responsibilities:

 

  • Delivery of the detailed design, a safe and high quality fabrication, and delivery / installation of foundation structures

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to produce cost effective and value-added foundation designs for our projects

  • Complete Request for Quotations together with Procurement and create a high-quality but cost effective supply chain concept

  • Making sure that work is delivered on time and identifying and mitigating any potential delays and costs

  • Maintenance of the high safety standards within the company through intelligent design and risk management

  • Ensuring that contractors work safely and work to good industry practice and in accordance with legislation and RWE’s requirements

  • Management of budget, ensuring delivery to contract requirements and supporting with any variation orders and claims

  • Direction, evaluation, and management of all risks associated with the foundation package within a wider offshore windfarm project 

  • Ensure that all lessons learned from our operating fleet are incorporated into future projects and support to Procurement, Quality, and HSSE departments.

 

Qualifications and knowledge:

 

  • University degree from in a relevant subject (engineering e.g. Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Naval etc.)

  • Min 5 years of relevant experience in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, Offshore Oil and Gas, or other large engineering infrastructure projects

  • Project Management  experience of managing design, construction or engineering teams

  • Experience in infrastructure engineering including fabrication and installation

  • Proven experience in developing contract & claim negotiations, project execution through to completion and contract management of large infrastructure investment projects

  • Excellent strategic thinker, communicator, organiser and team player

  •  Demonstrable experience of working effectively in an international business

  • To be based in Tokyo (Willing to travel internationally as required)

  • Fluent in spoken and written English
