RWE is building Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm. Thor offshore wind farm will be built 22 kilometres off the coast of Thorsminde on the west coast of Jutland with a capacity of more than 1 GW. 72 units of SGRE flagship SG 14-236 DD wind turbines generators (WTGs) are planned to be installed. Once fully operational in 2027, Thor will produce green electricity to more than 1 million Danish households.

 

As Warehouse Coordinator you are responsible for managing the warehouse to ensure smooth operation and maintenance of our offshore wind farm. Furthermore, the work preparation and follow-up of all offshore activities as well as securing and coordination of the flow of goods and logistics belong to your area of responsibility.

you will be a part of the operations team with close collaboration with the senior maintenance coordinator and the wider operations team. Your working location will be Thorsminde and the shift rotation is planned for 1 week on/off with accommodation facilities provided, if required.

 

 

About the role

 

  • Responsible for the warehousing of spare parts, consumables safety equipment and tools
  • Work preparation and follow-up as well as compilation of tools and spare parts as well as safety equipment for the service teams
  • Administration of the personal protective equipment (PPE) of the employees
  • Maintenance of tools and consumables
  • Management of tools, lifting gears and electrical- and mechanical equipment subject to periodic inspection
  • Conducting and scheduling inventories of stock
  • Organization, coordination and tracking of the flow of goods including customs clearance if required
  • Coordination of waste disposal and corresponding documentation.
  • Updating the hazardous materials register and documentation of all operating materials and consumables
  • Participation in the development and implementation of internal company standards
  • Continuous further development of warehouse processes
  • Carrying out knowledge transfer and close coordination with other offshore wind farms within the fleet
  • Supervision off the offshore substation warehouse in addition to the responsibility of the onshore warehouse
  • Responsible for facility maintenance of the O&M building, tiny houses, Welfare building helicopter area together with the administration part of the electrical land station (ELS)
  • Responsible for service of the company car, forklift, etc.

 

 

Job requirements and experience

 

  • Acquired vocational training in the industrial-technical field or in warehouse management, such as logistics/warehouse management specialist
  • Several years of professional experience in warehouse management, in the offshore or wind power industry
  • Proficient in handling MS Office and SAP MM
  • Very good knowledge of applicable occupational safety regulations as well as basic knowledge with hazardous materials regulations
  • Proficient knowledge of English
  • Class B driver's license and forklift driver's license
  • Ability to adjust to different tasks, work in challenging conditions and own initiative
  • Experiences in planning services assignments
