Position: Maintenance Coordinator
RWE is building Denmark’s largest offshore wind farm. Thor offshore wind farm will be built 22 kilometres off the coast of Thorsminde on the west coast of Jutland with a capacity of more than 1 GW. 72 units of Siemens Gamesa’s flagship SG 14-236 DD offshore wind turbines are planned to be installed. Once fully operational in 2027, Thor will produce green electricity to more than 1 million Danish households.
The role
You will be one of our four maintenance coordinators for the offshore teams with main responsibility for ensuring the safe and smooth operation of the Thor wind farm together with the associated substations. The maintenance coordinator will be working closely together with the production manager, engineering teams, warehouse coordinator and the technicians.
The maintenance coordinator will ensure correct planning, worksite preparation and execution of the offshore day to day business with the capability to inspire people to take responsibility and ownership for the planned tasks.
During the construction phase of the wind farm the maintenance coordinator will be supporting the commissioning team and assist in the organisation build-up for the upcoming operation. Shift rotation is planned for 1 week on/off with accommodation facilities provided if required.
- Ensuring the "Zero Incident Policy" and compliance with the specifications regarding occupational health, safety and environmental protection.
- Monitoring and operation of the technical systems of the offshore wind farm and substations by means of control technology and monitoring systems.
- Participating in fault clearance at the wind turbines and substations.
- First contact and remote support of the offshore technicians in carrying out fault clearance and maintenance work.
- Responsible for the optimal planning and monitoring of the transfer of personnel to and within the offshore wind farms using crew transfer vessels (CTV) and helicopters.
- Creation, allocation, evaluation and archiving of digital work orders in SAP PM
- Responsible for the local control room with close corporation ink. Hand-over procedures with the central control room (CCR) witch is occupied 24/7.
- Preparation of RAMS (risk assessments and method statements) for repairs, as well as control of RAMS by external service providers.
- Occasional On- call duty during night time in case of an emergency.
Job requirements and experience
- Comprehensive HSEQ awareness and knowledge of relevant laws, norms and standards.
- Completed vocational training in the field of electrical engineering.
- +5 years of relevant work experience in the operational management of an offshore wind farm.
- Advanced technical knowledge in diagnosing issues on wind turbines.
- Experiences in the field of protection systems, SCADA, communication, automation technology and network operations.
- Experience with switching operations on HV equipment.
- Advanced operational knowledge of ship logistics
- Good English language skill.
- Be able to work offshore including GWO and HUET certificates.
