Your role

 

As Senior Category Manager Offshore Foundations (d/f/m) in the Offshore Specific Category Procurement Team, you will support several of our offshore projects during the development phase.  The primary focus will be the pre-FID tendering and negotiations of offshore foundation supply packages which may also be on an EPCI basis. 

 

Your future plans

 

  • Support our global offshore projects with the drafting of project procurement strategies from a foundations perspective;
  • Responsible for the interfacing of supporting functions and projects to compile and draft all RFI/RFQ documentation for issuance to the market for EPCI or supply only requirements.
  • Ability to evaluate RFQ responses on a Total Cost of Ownership basis to ensure selection of the most appropriate suppliers.
  • Leading commercial and legal negotiations with support from the inhouse legal team.
  • To own the Offshore Foundations Procurement Strategy - Continuing to keep up to speed with market changes and challenges and interfacing with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure that RWE is able to lever position in the market.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key supplier interfaces.
  • Support junior members of the Team to ensure inhouse growth of knowledge

 

Your profile

 

  • Successfully completed studies in engineering or economics, additional legal qualification advantageous
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience combined with very good knowledge & overview of the industry-related markets
  • Experienced in Offshore Renewables Foundations contracting from either a developer or foundations supply chain with knowledge of supply and/or EPCI contracting forms such as FIDIC and LOGIC for the purpose of offshore construction.;
  • Proven ability to effectively understand commercial risks to minimise impacts to the project;
  • Experienced in negotiating high cost / high risk contracts.
  • Experienced in building and rolling out strategic growth plans
  • Very good communication skills in English, both orally and written
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally as required to support delivery of your package of works;
