Year in Industry Offshore O&M Concepts

RWE Renewables UK Management Ltd.
Start date in July 2027, full time, fixed term (12 months)
Hybrid model meaning 3 days per week onsite in Swindon, rest can be home base 

• Gain valuable knowledge of how Operations & Maintenance concepts are developed for future wind farms, considering strategic, technical, environmental, societal and commercial factors.
• Evaluate emerging O&M technologies and methodologies for potential use in future wind farms.
• Visit operational sites and, after completing basic training, travel offshore to gain first-hand insight into day-to-day offshore wind operations.
• Actively support the team across a range of O&M concept activities.
• Take ownership of a project relating to an O&M concept for a developing wind farm or an emerging technology.

• Current enrolment in Mechanical, Civil or Electrical Engineering, or another relevant science or engineering degree.
• Eligibility to complete a year in industry placement as part of the degree course.
• Very good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to coordinate workloads independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Confidence working in a diverse team and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to other sites when required, with travel expenses covered.

• A minimum of five years’ residence in the UK due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.
