Strategic IT Supplier Manager m/f/t

Be instrumental in delivering RWE’s IT strategy via third party suppliers. Act in an integral part of our business by managing strategic suppliers and supporting RWE Service Managers - delivering IT Contract management and continual service improvement, plus innovation via our supply base.
It’s an exciting time to join us.  We are busy developing and enhancing our common IT Infrastructure to support out growing business. Overseeing performance and Governance of Strategic Supplier contracts supporting internal stakeholder to mitigate risk, thriving in a complex and ever changing environment. 
Robust IT Governance and compliance is a cornerstone of our company's strategy and will continue to play an increasingly important role in our success as technology evolves. As part of the Provider Management team delivering a common set of support service to all parts of RWE with the objective of ensuring excellent supplier facing commercial and financial governance as well as compliance and risk management. Our goal is to provide an excellent and consistent service to all internal customers. We can only achieve this with the very best people!

  • Drive supplier relationship management on a global basis according to RWE’s Supplier Governance Framework whilst monitoring provider performance against contractual commitments and continuing to drive innovation
  • Guide and support the sourcing process (RFI, RFP as well as smaller requests)
  • Serve as the primary central point of contact for your stakeholders in all questions related to their provider management and sourcing activities
  • Manage regular communication with key stakeholders via Supplier Governance Meetings on operation, tactical and strategic level using adequate information (i.e. Supplier Balanced Scorecard)
  • Ensure key performance indicators are achieved and maintained, requirements are addressed at source or escalated as needed
  • Pro-actively manage supplier related issues, risks and escalations ensuring a high level of customer service
  • Building effective working relationship with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders such as Team Leads, Executives, Procurement and representatives from third party vendors

 

Your powerful skills  

  • Experience in Provider Management and/or Procurement practices preferably within an IT Environment
  • Knowledge about Supplier Governance & Supplier Risk Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work cooperatively in supporting the wider team
  • Cultural awareness and skills in negotiating beneficial commercial/contractual outcomes
  • Relationship management forging long lasting relationship acting as a trusted advisor
  • Ability to adapt negotiation and influencing skills to circumstances
  • Knowledge of agile working methodologies  and ability to drive projects to closure
  • Identify, quantity and ensure delivery of supplier innovation opportunities
  • Stakeholder management, supporting requirements specification and evaluating supplier performance
  • Willingness to take ownership of a problem, effective solve and manage to successful completion
  • Ability to understand complex environments, identify project interdependencies and mitigate commercial risks
  • Understanding of service contracts and related contractual mechanisms
  • Good time management and self organisation
  • Proven collaboration skills and willingness to make decisions
  • Act as a supportive team member sharing skills and knowledge
  • Fluency in English (verbal and written)
