About the role
The Regulatory & NBAP Operations team play a key role in providing IT solutions which enable RWEST to comply to global energy trading regulations. We’re looking for a talented and motivated software engineer with a serverless-first mindset to be responsible for developing technical solutions in line with our .NET 8 architecture hosted in AWS. You will work in close collaboration with stakeholders and with the support of a great IT team.

- Desire to create a lean, efficient architecture and technology stack which is flexible and cost efficient.
Job requirements and experience
- You are an experienced .NET developer, familiar with modern ways of hosting .NET applications in the cloud e.g. containerisation.
- You are proficient in using Blazor or at least one frontend framework.
- Experience with AWS (or equivalent cloud provider) and an understanding of serverless event-based architectures.
- You have used Infrastructure as Code in some format (e.g. Terraform, CloudFormation)
- You have experience with relational and document databases (we use PostgreSQL and DynamoDB).
- A curiosity and openness to learn and upskill on different technologies. C# is our core, but some F# and Python exist in the application landscape.
- You have interest in Energy Markets / Financial Markets (e.g. trading products) and growth of technology.
Advantageous, but not essential
- Any experience with Python and its data processing libraries e.g. Pandas, Py-Spark.
- An understanding of the basics of trade modelling and lifecycle.
- Basic knowledge of any energy trading regulations i.e. EMIR/ REMIT/ Dodd-Frank
- Exposure to functional programming .
