Onshore Construction Europe Senior Project Manager Project Cluster UK & Ireland.
Deliver construction of onshore wind projects from Final Investment Decision (FID) to Commercial Operation Delivery (COD) safely, on time, quality and budget, incl. successful Hand Over to Operations Main Tasks.
The role
• Management of hand-over from development including decision on construction approach e.g. multi contract, EPC, package Management
• Responsible for defining the construction budget & time schedule
• Identify project resource requirements and build/manage the project team
• Responsible for delivering the project under construction safely and within the agreed budget and in the time and quality promised
• Establish agreed contracting / procurement strategies for main contracts
• Supply chain engagement and tender process & selection of preferred suppliers
• Negotiate final contracts with procurement
• Close-out commercial vehicles (contracts, supplier agreements etc.) on completion of the work and resolve outstanding claims/variation orders etc.
• Site management, i.e., mobilization / demobilization
• Kick-off management, planning, risk management, claim management, and takeover from contractors
• Coordinate the multi-discipline team managing the work incl. performance management of contractors
• Accountable for HSE (including CDM) of the construction phase
• Permitting and stakeholder management (e.g. landowners, TSOs/DSOs, local community)
• Support Commercial and Finance managers in commercial management
• Management of hand-over to Operations
• Provide support to the on-shore development team – providing advice on constructability and produce cost estimates/time schedules.

Requirements:
• Proven experience and strong track record in project management of projects with equivalent risk and complexity.
• Proven experience and track record of contract administration (preferably NEC and FIDIC)
• Degree educated in a relevant subject, preferably chartered with an engineering institute and a recognized project management qualification.
• Sound knowledge of local H&S and environmental legislation
• Sound knowledge of local construction legislation and regulations
• English language is a must

• Posses a UK driving license and be prepared to manage projects across UK & Ireland. The successful candidate would be expected to travel to continental Europe for meetings and may be asked to support projects within other European clusters
