RWE has commited 50 billion Euros, of which 15 billion will be in the UK, on our Growing Green Strategy by 2030. To help us make this happen, we are looking for a Project Procurement Manager to join our team, managing all procurement aspects of projects in fields such as H2, CCUS, and Battery Storage. 

 

The successful candidate will enjoy large amounts of flexibility. The role requires travel according to project requirements, but we are able to consider candidates all throughout the UK and offer the successful candidate a Home Based contract. Key Responsibilities

  • Optimise supply chain measures for worldwide and innovative projects in the development, construction and/ or operational phases.
  • Develop and execute sourcing, assessment, negotiation and contract execution strategies and terms and conditions to suit project activities..
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding / knowledge of supply chain in identified market sectors.
  • Lead highly complex negotiations with external suppliers and represent RWETI when meeting/negotiating with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Optimising the price vs performance ratio and leverage market synergies.
  • Claim and deviation management throughout project execution phase.
  • Ensure that commercial project issues are addressed in accordance with company policies and procedures.

 

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • MCIPS (or working towards), alternatively a relevant business or engineering degree is desirable.
  • Expected to have significant experience in construction/infrastructure or complex procurement projects.
  • Proven capability / skills in complex CAPEX & OPEX negotiations.
  • Highly motivated and possess strong interpersonal skills; candidates should be capable of operating to tight timescales with the minimum of guidance and be able to communicate effectively at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to influence and manage across multiple international cultures and a geographically diverse portfolio.
  • Ability to influence and manage across multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Internationally oriented, fully committed, flexible and ready to travel to meet the business requirements.
  • Business fluent in English
