Payroll Administrator - SAP and Payroll Administration
Location – Swindon, UK
Contract Type – 12 Months’ FTC
Working Hours – Full time
Main Purpose of the Role
To be part of a team providing a comprehensive payroll Service to 2500+ RWE UK employees for four operating companies (RWE Generation, RWE Supply and Trading RWE Technology UK, RWE Renewables).
Key Responsibilities
To maintain data held within the SAP HR / Payroll system (KP3).
- in accordance with statutory and contractual obligations
- in accordance with pre-defined timescales
- in accordance with service agreements
- in accordance with HR Internal controls (ICS)
To process complex payroll case data and check data maintained in accordance with controls embedded within the ICS framework.
- Check starters, leavers, transfers, job detail changes, pension scheme amendments
- Monitor sick absence entitlements
- Input, calculation and monitoring of maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental leave payments both statutory and occupational including relevant pension deductions
- Calculating overpayments and monitoring recovery
- Calculation and payment of off cycle payments
- Processing HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) forms including P45, P6 etc
To provide advice and guidance to employees and managers on pay and benefits.
To resolve pay queries received from both internal and external stakeholders in accordance with agreed service level agreements.
To produce payroll reconciliation packs and associated payment files at month end.
To prepare and distribute payroll reports to internal and external stakeholders.
To participate in projects affecting the payroll centre.
To process single and bulk redundancy requests.
To maintain and foster sound relationships with colleagues within the team and across the wider HR community.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of UK payroll legislation
- Knowledge of legislation relating to statutory absence and ability to manually calculate related payments due
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft office applications
- Proficient in using the SAP HR systems and Payroll Administration
Experience:
- Experience of working with large volume payroll
- Experience of working under pressure to tight deadlines
