Be responsible for the management of Material Master Data at RWE Offshore Wind, one of the global major Offshore Wind operators, at the interface of business operations and Supply Chain Management within the Technical Fleet Management Team. The Material Master Data Specialist will be responsible for creating and managing material master data within the SAP Materials Management (MM) module ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and completeness. You will be working together with responsible colleagues at sites, and with the Process and Product Owners as well as Platform Managers, to standardise data records across all wind farms and thus establish the basis for efficient supply chain and inventory management.

About the role:

  • Manage the process to create new material master records, and update these, based on business requirements, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all relevant fields.
  • Review and validate material master data to ensure compliance with company policies and standards, identifying and resolving data discrepancies or errors, including gathering of missing information for material master enhancement.
  • Manage the mass creation and change of the material master records, acting as the key point of contact from sites to maintain the data quality (e.g. extending the material, updating the text, or updating the MRP settings). Work closely with the Digital Products and the Group Material Management team to improve the data management tools and data quality.
  • Support development and implementation of data governance policies and processes, ensuring adherence to data quality standards and best practices.
  • Identify and remove duplicate or obsolete material master records by working together with site key users, engineers and procurement.
  • Generate reports on data accuracy and quality, and analyse data to identify trends and improve data quality.
  • Support end-users on material master data processes.

 

Job requirements and experience:

  • In-depth knowledge of the SAP Materials Management (MM) module, particularly related to material master data. Knowledge of SAP S4/Hana
  • Transactional experience of at least a couple of years of SAP Material Management
  • Knowledge of business processes related to supply chain and materials management (purchasing, inventory control, and plant maintenance)
  • University degree in business (e.g. supply chain management), IT (e.g. data analytics), or technical (e.g. engineering) fields
  • Ability to analyse data, identify patterns, and solve problems, and are familiar with data management tools (e.g. Excel, SQL, Tableau) and techniques (e.g. cleansing, validation, migration)
  • Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and consistency
  • Clear and effective communication, both written and spoken, for interacting with stakeholders and explaining findings
  • Solid organisational skills to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively
  • Quick to pick up new concepts, high motivation, self-managed, curiosity and potential to grow
  • English language

 

Advantageous but not essential:

  • German language
  • Knowledge of Fiori
  • Experience in wind power or industrial setting

 

Location:

UK - Swindon, London or Coventry or any UK Offshore Site Office
