Marine Engineer

 

Location: UK

 

Reporting to: Marine & Logistics Team Lead

 

Role:

The Marine Project Manager is responsible for the fleetwide (UK, Germany, DK, SWE) steering and support of all kinds of marine projects. He/She drafts jackup vessel strategies, ensures safe and cost efficient campaigns and transfers knowledge between the sites. The holderprovides marine expert knowledge, identifies access solutions for shallow water sites and leads further marine special projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead contract negotiations for Jack up vessel charter parties
  • Lead major component exchange campaigns
  • Support the management of CTV contracts
  • Provide and harmonize Scope of Works in collaboration with the sites
  • Conduct technical vessel evaluations
  • Execute on hire surveys
  • Evaluate port layouts and load out proposals
  • Assess risk assessments, method statements, lift plans and operating instructions
  • Do offshore supervision
  • Coordinate internal and external interfaces such as scheduling, engineering, certification, marine coordination, HSSE, authorities, vessel suppliers, marine warranty surveyor
  • Steer clients reps
  • Optimize marine operations across the fleet
  • Represent the clients interests
  • Support in all marine questions across the sites
  • Lead special marine projects
  • Creates and manages logistics models to analyse JUV and SOV costs
  • Supports the implementation of a fleet wide marine management system
  • Supports the built and charter project of two purpose built SOVs
     
    Job requirements:
  • Experienced in technical contract management
  • Relevant marine background, e.g. Master Mariner, MWS, naval architect,
  • Excellent skills of written and spoken English language
  • Very good communication skills
  • Experience in project management
  • Structured thinking, development of methods and procedures
  • Good skills in MS-Office
  • Willingness to travel
  • Willingness to work offshore for short periods
