Functional area: Operations & Maintenance
As part of our skilled team, you’ll work on various offshore wind turbines, including Vestas, Siemens, and Senvion platforms. Your primary focus will be to ensure the safety from the system during our main component exchanges from a jack-up vessel (JUV) within the RWE fleet. When not working on JUV-based operations, you’ll also have the opportunity to contribute towards blade repairs and uptower repairs.
About the role:
- Provide safety from the system on MCC tasks
- Supporting the team in the offshore technical completion of exchange works following on from your tasks for providing safety from the system
- Mentor team members in obtaining authorisation during campaigns
- Work closely with the shift leads to ensure any project progress/issues are communicated
- Adhere to RWE processes, report issues to shift leads, and document lessons learned
- Report HSE incidents and near hits using the RITAS system
- Work towards/ Perform roles under Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules including Single Feed SAP
Job requirements and experience:
- Hold certification to show competency in providing safety from the system, such as being an Authorised Technician under the WTSR
- Works well both alone and in teams, following safety protocols at remote offshore wind farm sites
- Electrical qualifications equivalent to a minimum of BTEC Level 3 in an electrical discipline.
- Valid GWO certification for offshore works
- Flexibility to travel across Europe and the United Kingdom
- Fluent in English with effective communication skills
- Proficient in IT and possess a full driving licence
Advantageous, but not essential:
- Authorised on SGRE 3.6MW or Senvion 6M platforms
- Experience in major component exchanges
- HNC/HND in electrical discipline
- CPCS Slinger/Signaller certification
