About the role
This role is located within the area of IT Strategy Services, an integral part of our RWE IT Infrastructure function providing IT services to all RWE employees globally.
Working with our business and other infrastructure teams we are responsible to deliver IT projects, identify and drive innovation, define our future IT plans, and implement leading IT services to be used across the RWE Group of companies.
As part of a dynamic team distributed across the UK and Germany you will gain real, practical experience from an early stage.
This role will see you gain responsibility from day one in a number of key areas including:
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborating with our internal teams and stakeholders to understand and document their business needs and requirements.
- Process Analysis: Examine current business processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
- Data Analysis: Analyse data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
- Solution Design: Based on requirements, working to develop and propose solutions to address business challenges and improve processes.
- Documentation: Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and proposed solutions.
- Stakeholder Management: Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to ensure their needs are met and they are kept informed of progress.
- Project Support: Assist our project management team in the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects.
- Testing and Validation: Ensure that proposed solutions meet business requirements through testing and validation.
Job requirements and experiences
- Enthusiasm and drive to complete your apprenticeship programme and seek out development opportunities within a supportive team.
- A curious, analytical, and problem-solving mindset with good attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to ensure effective dialogue with customers, suppliers, and partners
- The ability to work both as an individual, as well as with others.
- The ability to balance work, study, and other life commitments (you will be provided with the appropriate support and study time to achieve this)
- Willingness for occasional travel, as required, to support the role.
The entry requirements for this programme are as follows:
- 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject, including maths and English
- OR a Level 3 Qualification / A-Level (Business Management, Software, Data etc)
- OR a BTEC Extended Diploma in IT (180 credits)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar subject
