Project Engineer – Battery Storage
Location – UK, Remote, with occasional travel required
Contract Type – Permanent
Working Hours – 37 Hours

About the role
- Coordination of responsibilities between project team and operator as owners engineer for new projects in execution phase
- Ensuring design conformity with existing BESS and employer requirements
- Definition of technical requirements for new projects from operators point of view in coordination with operation & maintenance and asset management teams
- Ensuring completeness and correctness of handover documentation and compliance with management systems (ISMS, SAP,…)
- Design review for new projects in development phase, regarding conformity to Employer Requirements and relevant regulations and standards
- Project management for internal modification projects on BESS in operation, including coordination between project and operation & maintenance teams
- Active feedback and support for Lessons Learned and Employer Requirements from projects and participation in internal and external expert groups to promote exchange of knowledge in the area of battery storage systems
Job Requirements and Experience
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or comparable field with several years of work experience in a technical work environment
- Relevant knowledge in the areas of HV and LV installations, I&C and automation systems, including verification of SLDs and electrical designs, project management and relevant norms, standards and regulations
- Nice-to-have knowledge in the areas of design, construction and operation of BESS, SAP, IT/OT networks and cost planning and controlling
- Capability for analytic and conceptual thinking, good communication skills and team spirit, to convey ideas and targets to different stakeholders
- Willingness to travel (up to 25%, not regularly)

- Business fluent in English both spoken and written

- An expected starting salary from £65,000 to £80,000 depending on experience and up to 15% annual bonus
