Compliance Co-ordinator

We are seeking to recruit a high calibre candidate to become a member of the Legal & Compliance team to work alongside the Compliance Officer in the organisational and technical implementation of compliance requirements in the UK and Ireland for the RWE group.

 

This is a challenging post involving regular interaction with Directors and senior management. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a comprehensive range of duties in supporting the business and ensuring measures are in place to align with and adhere to the RWE Group Compliance Management System.

 

This is a new role that offers a 12-month contract, based on flexible part-time working hours of between 15-20 hours per week.

 

Your future plans:

 

  • Supporting the Compliance Officer, you act as a key contact with regards to RWE Renewables on queries and issues linked with Compliance across the business
  • Supporting the business with onboarding of counterparties and in relation to the due diligence process.
  • Development of training material, together with organisation of Compliance Trainings and Workshops
  • Monitoring and reporting of Compliance activities across the UK and Ireland to the Board and RWE AG Group Compliance, including preparing relevant documentation for risk assessments, audits as well as  supporting  the role out of in-country compliance communication.
  • Developing and maintaining an accurate suite of Compliance documents and templates, together an up-to-date filing system


Your powerful skills:

 

  • Dedicated team player who can also work independently and accurately under pressure, prioritising work as required
  • Good problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Skills to quickly pick up and understand business and commercial complexities, together with interpreting internal and external rule/standards and guidance to assess company conformity
  • Computer literate with knowledge and experience of the Microsoft Office suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Educated to degree. Experience of working in a corporate office environment with an understanding of business ethics, which includes anti-bribery and corruption and anti-money laundering would be an advantage, but not essential as further training will be provided.
