Would you like to work in the field of renewable energies? As Commercial PPA Manager you will bring our green energy directly to corporate offtakers by initiating and concluding power purchase agreements (PPAs). You will focus on the UK market and use your sales network to conclude deals with companies looking to become more sustainable.

You will lead the negotiation and ongoing optimization of the contracts and closely coordinate with all involved RWE Renewables functions.

You are also expected to develop and evaluate new (PPA) structures and delivery concepts and  make strategic recommendations on the best commercial options for the long-term commercialization of our development pipeline and existing asset portfolio.


Your future plans:

You are leading the origination, counterparty negotiations and contractual closure of RWER energy and renewable certificate contracts and trades under a given risk framework with corporate energy buyers. This requires making short- and long- term commercial decisions to maximise income and reduce risks.


Areas include:

  • Corporate Power Purchase Agreements (cPPAs) and renewable certificate / GO sales
  • Development of new products and value adding partnerships to expand offering for target customer group
  • To support and provide expertise to the Head of PPA’s and Structured Origination Europe and other team members on significant deals as required.


To take responsibility for the successful delivery of the above mentioned high value structured deals it will require to coordinate the involvement of various internal stakeholders in the evaluation and approval processes.


Your skills:


  • University degree in business administration, economics or a related field
  • A good understanding of the UK energy market and the different options available for our renewable energy marketing
  • Experience in the assessment, negotiation and implementation of cPPAs or comparable complex contracts
  • Ability to lead interdisciplinary project teams
  • Strategic thinking to develop clear and easily communicated strategic concepts for the marketing of energy and certificates in complex market and regulatory environments
  • Excellent networking skills and strong negotiation and presentation skills
  • English skills are essential
