About the role

RWE Supply & Trading is the interface between RWE and energy markets around the world. Around 2,000 employees from over 70 different countries are engaged in the trade of (renewable) electricity, (green) gas, commodities and carbon emission certificates. As a subject-matter expert, your insights will directly inform desk trading and origination strategies, contributing to decisions that drive measurable commercial outcomes

Job requirements and experience

Background in numerical discipline including but not limited to Engineering, Economics, Finance, Com Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics
2+ years’ experience in petrochemicals, LPG or related markets. Exposure to physical trading is welcomed
Proficient with programming languages (Python, SQL), able to create and maintain models to validate hypothesis or to holistically study driving forces of price formation
Comfortable to work in a front office team – proactive in sharing analysis-backed views and making concise and on-demand ad hoc analysis to support desk decisions
