RWE Supply & Trading is a leading Global commodity trading house with a growing presence in AsiaPacific.

The AsiaPacific coal and gas/LNG markets are rapidly changing. De-carbonization, renewables expansion and coal phase-outs will further accelerate market changes, but also security of supply and cost efficiency remain important price drivers. The AsiaPacific gas and LNG markets are influenced by the growing Asian gas appetite (in particular China and India), coal and nuke phaseout in South Korea and nuclear restarts in Japan. The dominant Asian markets China, Japan and South Korea move global gas/LNG prices with major demand coming from coal- and gas-fired power generation, industrial processes and heating.
