RWE Offshore Wind is seeking a Financial Manager to join the Projects & Investments APAC team (P&I APAC) for our large scale offshore wind farms and Hydrogen project developments. The role is a key and complex project role, where you will be responsible for coordination and steering of all financial and financial related workstreams of a project. It is about projects from early development through to auction bid FID to commissioning and handover to operational phase. 

 

About the role:

 

  • Coordination of respective Finance and Finance related workstreams
  • Ability to derive and challenge credible financial assumptions by benchmarking against other RWE Offshore Wind and Hydrogen projects and industry wide practices
  • Identification (and support where necessary) of areas whereby the project economic return could be optimized; perform all necessary analysis into the areas and present results and the recommendation for consideration and approval
  • Continuous financial review and monitoring of the project economics and the reporting of results as required both within the project team (project director) and to the project steering committee, e.g. analyzing the implications of changes to MW capacity and size and timing of project phasing
  • Represents project from a finance perspective at steering committees, board meetings and on JV level
  • Ensure all financial/commercial considerations regarding grid connections are considered
  • Support of preparation of bid group papers/proposals including support of development of bid tactics in cooperation with the project director as well as the Commercial bid manager
  • Preparation of (board, bid group) approval papers, and setting up a project specific governance in cooperation with the Project Director and ensure that these are aligned where required with the project owners

 

Job requirements and experience:

 

  • At least 4-6 years’ experience in managing large scale infrastructure projects, ideally in offshore, (conventional) power plant or hydrogen projects
  • Broad finance background (in particular project financing)
  • Comprehensive analytical and communicational skills. Significant stakeholder management capabilities
  • Experience in leading and motivating teams with an international & culturally diverse background
  • Capable to present in front of groups (team, steering committees, board meetings etc.)
  • Fluency in Korean and business level English 
  • Willingness to undertake project related business trips
  • Able to work on the one hand individually and on the other hand effectively in international teams
