Functional area: Project Management

This role will look to support RWE acitivies throughout our growing pipeline of projects across APAC, with a focus on South Korea.

Your future plans

• Support analysis of life-cycle project risks of various RWE-owned offshore projects and JV projects in the development, construction and operation phase

• Provide guidance in establishing a project budget contingency through the application of suitable quantitative techniques, such as Monte Carlo simulations, to ensure informed project financing decisions and the effective tracking and management of the contingency throughout the project's duration

• Support the further development of processes, IT tools and mathematical methods in close consultation with Offshore Wind Risk Management, Risk Controlling and Investment Management

• Support the Risk Manager with implementation of risk identification workshops with the project teams, suppliers and internal interface functions in the respective project as well as proactive ensuring and transfer of lessons learned

• Analysis of insurance options and requirements as well as operational insurance management in close coordination with the insurance management of the RWE Group

• Intensive cross-departmental and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure consistency and comparability in dealing with the various risks

Your profile

• Completion of a degree in industrial engineering, business administration, business law or an engineering-related course of study, an interdisciplinary education (double degree or similar) would be a beneficial asset

•  First professional experience in project management, contract management or economic project/risk assessment in the field of power generation (ideally offshore wind) is desirable

• Confident use of Excel is required, experience in programming with @Risk or active risk management (ARM) experience with MS Project and Primavera a positive factor

• Confident in dealing with time-critical project work and short deadlines

• good understanding of technical or legal issues and a quick, analytical grasp of the issues

• Capable of self-directed work and achieving goals within tight timeframes

• Fluent in English and business level Korean (written & spoken)
