About the Role

As HSE Advisor, you will provide professional Health, Safety and Environmental support across RWE Renewables Italy, covering Development, Construction and Operations activities across onshore wind, solar PV and battery storage.

You will support compliance with Italian legislation and RWE internal HSE requirements, while helping to strengthen HSE performance and culture across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide HSE advice and support to Development, Construction, Operations and support functions, ensuring compliance with applicable legislation and RWE requirements.
• Carry out site inspections, safety walks, audits and compliance reviews across projects and operational assets, ensuring actions are identified and followed through.
• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Italian HSE Management System and monitor relevant HSE and Sustainability KPIs.
• Conduct and support risk assessments, incident investigations and root cause analyses, including liaison with relevant authorities where required.
• Provide HSE input into engineering, construction and modification activities, including requirements relating to temporary and mobile construction sites.
• Support emergency and crisis management activities and deliver HSE training and awareness initiatives where required.
• Work closely with local teams and the wider OPEA HSE organisation, acting as a point of contact or lead for specific HSE topics and projects.

Your Profile

• Degree in Engineering, Safety, Risk Management or a related discipline, or equivalent technical education combined with relevant HSE qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years’ relevant experience, preferably within renewable energy, energy, construction or a comparable industrial environment.
• Good knowledge of Italian Health & Safety and Environmental legislation and experience with HSE Management Systems, ideally aligned with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001.
• ASPP, CSE and/or CSP qualifications would be an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
• Good written and spoken English and confidence working in an international environment.
• Comfortable using digital tools, data analytics and AI-enabled productivity solutions.
• Medical fitness and ability to work at height, with the ability to complete GWO Basic Safety Training.
• Willingness to travel regularly within Italy and internationally.
