Offshore Control Room Technician

We are currently looking for highly motivated Offshore Control Room Technician to work at RWE Renewables operational sites at the Port of Mostyn

 

Role description

 

  • Working as part of a small team that operates and maintains the wind farm(s), you will carry out scheduled, unscheduled and proactive maintenance on wind turbines
  • Fault finding, repairs and trouble shooting.
  • Operate the Wind Turbines from our state of the art control centre and manage the marine traffic used for the maintenance of the wind farm.
  • Contribute to our aim of optimising performance through continuous improvement.
  • You will be working offshore in all weathers and at heights of up to 85m, using heavy, complex electrical equipment
  • You need to be able to demonstrate a high-level commitment to Health and Safety in all aspects of your work.

 

Required skills and experience

 

  • We need you to be an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Craftsperson and/or Technician/Control operator
  • Although not essential, previous wind farm experience may be advantageous.
  • We will offer full training
  • You will need to demonstrate a flexible approach to work as we operate 24 hours a day 7 days a week
  • Able to work alone or as part of a small team and able to demonstrate good communication skills  
  • <span style="font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif">Working a rotating shift pattern dependant on offshore or onshore working requirements
