About the role
Ready to drive the future of energy solutions and make your mark on both RWE’s results and the Italian power market? As a Senior Originator in Commodity Solutions (South Europe), you’ll step into a highly visible role that lets you shape RWE’s commercial strategy and deliver innovative contracts for some of the region’s most forward-thinking corporates, utilities, and renewable energy developers. With hybrid working and opportunities for international travel, this is your chance to own client relationships, deliver impactful deals, and help shape the future of energy - while carving out a career that inspires and excites.

- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of new opportunities, expanding RWE’s client base, activities and influence in the Italian market
- Manage the entire deal lifecycle, coordinating seamlessly with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure value creation and effective risk mitigation
- Develop and execute commercial strategies, design new products, and drive long-term revenue growth for RWE
- Represent RWE at industry events and in the market, building high-trust relationships and serving as a strategic advisor to clients
- Collaborate cross-functionally - locally and internationally - to align direction and maximise commercial value
Job requirements and experience
- At least 10 years’ experience in energy or electricity origination or trading, with a deep understanding of the Italian energy market and trading opportunities
- Demonstrated success in structuring and closing multi-million Euro contracts, managing the nuances of complex, high-profile deals (including cross-border and optionality elements)
- Confident networker and relationship builder, able to engage and influence senior executives internally and externally
- Excellent communication skills, with full proficiency in both English and Italian, with a well-established commercial network and reputation.
- Commercial flair, negotiation courage, and an entrepreneurial mindset - ready to adapt in a fast-moving, opportunity-rich environment
