Your future plans


  • Design effective and efficient measurement campaigns to support project development and energy analysis with a view of reducing project uncertainties. This includes met mast siting (and instrumentation) and remote snsing devices.
  • Manage, quality control and clean measurement data (met masts and remote sensing devices), while applying discernment and automation.
  • Perform analysis on large data sets including but not limited to re-creation of data gaps, selective averaging, long-term adjustment, shear, turbulence, and air density.
  • Apply with expert skill a suite of wind flow and wake models to specific projects within the RWE Renewables development pipeline.  Evaluate results and apply established methodologies to determine the most representative site characteristics.
  • Prepare site conditions as input into turbine supplier site suitability analysis.
  • Navigate project constraints to optimize proposed wind farm production or levelized cost of energy. This includes interdepartmental collaboration, desktop optimization, field observations, and layout micrositing.
  • Perform uncertainty analysis on energy production estimates.
  • Validate pre-construction energy estimates with operational data and implement improvements to pre-construction analysis techniques.
  • Lead technically improvements or research & development programs with a goal of maintaining industry leading technical standards.
  • Report on analysis methods adopted and present results in a concise, easy to interpret, manner.


Your profile


  • Several years of relevant experience performing a full range of wind yield assessment activities, demonstrating technical proficiency with a wide variety of industry standard software, and discernment.
  • Successfully completed university degree in atmospheric science, meteorology, engineering, physics, math, or similar preferred (STEM).
  • Excellent mathematical/statistical and computer expertise  in addition to strong communication skills on technical issues.
  • Ability to complete complex tasks autonomously in an efficient and thorough manner.
  • English (business fluent), however, German, Spanish, Swedish are beneficial.
  • Proficient in all aspects of wind resource assessment.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a growing team environment.
  • Sound commercial knowledge.
  • Experienced in international business culture, and supporting a growing business at a local level.
