As Project Procurement Manager for RWE’s growing pipeline within our Europe & Australia Procurement team, you will be the Single Point of Contact for all procurement related activities for projects during the development and construction phase. You will be responsible for supporting the overall Procurement strategy for Australia including some supply chain optimization activities as relevant to your portfolio of projects.
Your future role:
- You will primarily be working with the Europe & Australia team and will be cross functionally working with our Global Procurement team to drive key local initiatives in Australia.
- You will be responsible to manage the negotiation of a variety of contracts at various stages of the project lifecycle ranging from large and complex project contracts for wind turbine generators to service and maintenance contracts for spare parts
- Support the implementation of the supplier relationship management strategy for Australia
- Communicating procurement related activities to key stakeholders across all management levels
- Work with multidisciplinary and international teams
- Support the definition and delivery of a local content procurement through supply chain development initiatives
Your profile:
- Operating with a high degree of autonomy and flexibility within delegation of authority guidelines, the position requires an experienced person with a minimum of 5 – 10 years working experience in Procurement
- Several years of relevant experience in the renewable industry preferrable
- Several years of relevant experience in infrastructure or CAPEX procurement
- Knowledge in project financing and its related cycles preferrable
- Ability to build rapport quickly and effectively and maintain key internal and external stakeholder relationships
- Strong commercial acumen and proactive risk management approach
- Ability to work in a complex matrix environment with various cultural backgrounds
- Intercultural understanding and experience in working with different cultures
- Excellent communication skills
- An affinity for thinking “outside the box”
