Business Support Coordinator

About the Role

 

We are looking for a proactive, organised, and collaborative individual to join our Business Support team as a Business Support Coordinator. This is an on-site role at Little Barford Power Station and is part of a wider, supportive multi-site team.

In this role, you will provide essential day-to-day administrative and coordination support across the station, helping to ensure safe, efficient, and well-managed operations. You will work closely with site leadership, operational teams, and external partners, supporting meetings, activities, and events, while helping the site run smoothly.

You will also support governance processes, maintain accurate documentation, and contribute to community and stakeholder engagement activities where needed.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a varied workload, works well in a dynamic environment, and is motivated to contribute ideas and improvements. We welcome applicants who bring enthusiasm, initiative, and a team-focused mindset.

 

Key Skills and Experience

  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to changing demands
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with colleagues, visitors, and external stakeholders
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with SAP or similar systems is helpful but not essential
  • Experience in administration, coordination, or document control, with attention to detail and an ability to handle information sensitively
  • Experience supporting meetings, events, or site activities (e.g. logistics, scheduling, coordination)
  • A collaborative approach, with the ability to build positive relationships and support different teams
  • Self-motivated and dependable, comfortable working both independently and as part of a wider team
