About the role

As a member of the Stations Operations and Maintenance Team, you will contribute towards delivering on the day to day maintenance and operational requirements to maximize the safe, reliable and commercial performance of the power station. Utilising your background knowledge and experience in the field of IT (Information Technology) associated with modern heavy industry your duties and responsibilities will include:

• Monitor OT systems for digital and physical threats, preventing unauthorized access and intrusions.
• Implement incident response plans, address security incidents, and mitigate their impact.
• Assist in managing the DCS system and ensure secure operations.
• Perform system maintenance, including installing patches, AV updates, and conducting physical system checks.
• Implement security controls, ensuring compliance with regulations and maintaining NIS compliance requirements.
• Complete all preventative maintenance routines associated with OT systems.

Job Requirements and Experience

• A background in IT security, ideally in the power generation sector, heavy industry, petrochemicals, oil and gas or manufacturing.
• A good understanding of industry safety, technical and operational requirements.
• Good interpersonal communication skills and a good understanding of the importance to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Strong problem solving ethos with the ability to positively influence the safe working culture of colleagues and visitors.
• A flexible team player with the capability to establish effective teamwork and foster relationships
