As Offshore Troubleshooter - WTG SGRE 3.6, you will carry out maintenance work and repairs on the wind turbines at the Amrumbank West offshore wind farm and assume responsibility for the work and systems on the turbine in accordance with the tasks.


About the role:

 

  • Independently carry out mechanical, hydraulic and electrical maintenance work on turbine components
  • Effectively collect information on turbine performance and problems Diagnose, recommend and implement solutions in consultation with site management
  • Independently perform diagnostic/troubleshooting, troubleshooting or repair tasks requiring highly specialised skills and expertise for specific components (e.g. inverters, gearboxes, blades), possibly even from multiple OEM technologies
  • Team lead for junior technicians in routine maintenance, troubleshooting and repair
  • Complete, update and maintain O&M related documentation, such as manuals or as-built documentation
  • Identify gaps in safety standards and practices, intervene in unsafe practices and drive optimisation of HSE culture and practices
  • Proactively seek improvement opportunities within processes and procedures and take ownership of optimisation projects with the aim of maximising production and safety standards while reducing costs


Job requirements and experience:

 

  • Successfully completed training in electrical engineering or electronics technician for industrial engineering
  • A certificate from a renowned wind technician programme is an advantage
  • More than 3 years of experience working on and on wind turbines
  • At least 3 years of professional experience as a WTG troubleshooter on SGRE 3.6 turbines A 33kV switching authorisation is an advantage
  • Experience with the specific safety practices of the (offshore) wind industry, e.g. working in confined spaces or on ships)
  • Sound experience in handling mechanical and especially electronic test equipment (e.g. voltage testers, current clamps, oscilloscopes and various hand and power tools)
  • Proficiency in written and spoken German and English
  • High level of physical fitness to be able to work in demanding conditions and under adverse weather and sea conditions
