Join our Innovation Team - Fixed Bottom & Floating, part of RWE Offshore’s central engineering function. Together, we support the global offshore wind business by bringing new ideas to life and facilitating innovation across every stage of the project life cycle.
About the role
- Supporting the Innovation and Civil & Structural team with analyzing Structural Health Monitoring data
- Utilizing advanced machine learning techniques on actual operational data for identifying anomalies and forecasting maintenance needs
- Collaborating with engineers to translate Structural Health Monitoring insights into actionable recommendations for inspection and maintenance
- Researching and integrating emerging Structural Health Monitoring technologies and advanced analytics methods
- Contributing to continuous improvement of monitoring strategies and innovation initiatives
Job requirements and experience
- Enrolled student e.g. in Civil, Mechanical, Materials or similar Engineering course
- A keen interest in data analysis and skilled in Matlab and Python
- Ideally previous experience in the field of Offshore Structural Engineering (e.g. internships or student roles)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well-organized with a diligent work ethic
- Fluent in English with clear professional communication skills
- Advanced MS Office skills and the capability to efficiently acquire new IT tools
