We are looking for a Working Student (d/f/m) to support us on Asset Risk and Lifetime Optimization topics, with the focus on data processing and analysis, as well as internal tool development. This role would suit someone who genuinely enjoys working with large datasets, spotting patterns, and solving complex analytical problems. The role involves extended periods of focused, independent analysis, so we're looking for someone who is highly detail-oriented, methodical, and takes satisfaction in producing accurate, high-quality work.

 

Within this role you will support colleagues with gathering, cleaning, processing and analyzing data related to the operations of wind farms across Europe. You will also help to develop the tools that are used to run operational planning process and analyse wind turbine health. You will get the chance to work in an international environment with travel likely across Europe and the UK. 

 

About the role 

 

  • Gathering, pre-processing and working with large datasets from multiple, scattered sources and synthesize them into insightful reports and presentations
  • Supporting the business by designing and developing operational, managerial and engineering dashboards and KPI’s
  • Developing tools that cover the operational planning process, connecting multiple inputs from various parts of the business, and creating models to forecast of asset technical and financial risks

 

Job requirements and experience

 

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data, visualization, and business problem-solving
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI/Tableau, Excel, SQL, and Python
  • Familiarity with R, Databricks, Data Lakes, Hadoop, Spark, SAP ERP, Git/GitHub, or similar technologies is a plus
  • Strong communicational skills to interact with colleagues all over the world, interact with different stakeholders, and share best practices
  • Self-driven, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and business processes
  • Ability to work within a team
  • Fluency in English, further language skills in any European language (particularly German) are beneficial, but not necessary
