About the role

The role is based in Hamburg. Travel across Germany and in exceptional cases within some of the Central Europe countries will be required from time to time. Working from outside the office is possible. You will be a core part of the very experienced and well-coordinated German Development team assisting to support our projects through the development and construction stages

The role will also work closely with the projects leads, package managers, bid managers, the regulatory team and the other environmental  & consents managers within the group of specific offshore wind projects.  The scope of work also includes support to adjacent markets including Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark from time to time.

 

 

  • Contribute to the planning approval process for our offshore wind projects from the early bidding phase to the construction phase with regard to the entire process and to environmental issues
  • Contribute to consent compliance for offshore windfarms, collate and maintain the relevant information and liaise with statutory authorities, package managers and contractors
  • Contribute to compliance of offshore bids with applicable consenting rules and the spatial planning
  • Support the timely preparation of permit applications for offshore windfarms including preparation of relevant documents (e.g. Erläuterungsbericht, Schallschutzkonzept, Kennzeichnungskonzept)
  • Contribute to the development, implementation and day-to-day management of the offshore environment & consents compliance plan and program, including delivery of key consents milestones, environmental studies and definition of specific mitigations according to the project characteristics
  • Coordinate requirements of e. g. environmental surveys with other internal or external stakeholders such as e. g. Engineering, HSE and Procurement
  • Support the procurement process for environmental surveys or consultancy works required to fulfill the BSH-standards including compilation of scope evaluation of incoming offers
  • Cooperation in working groups initiated by associations or authorities, including input into strategic consultations, to gain knowledge of the current environmental best practice and to feed in experience from the RWE projects

 

 

Your profile

  • Completed university degree in environmental studies or comparable
  • Competence in environment, consenting, licensing or related fields, with specific experience working in the offshore wind business
  • Min. 2 years of working experience in the offshore wind sector
  • Project management skills and experience of managing projects to tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal) in German and English and ability to communicate complex technical issues to stakeholders and package managers
