Year in Industry Operations Engineering (Scroby Sands Offshore Windfarm)

Start date in July 2027, full time, fixed term (12 months)
Fully site based at Scroby Sands Offshore Windfarm, Great Yarmouth 

• Analyse wind turbine faults and recommend modifications to prevent recurrence, improve reliability and maximise performance.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of engineering and maintenance strategies, policies and procedures that support site performance targets.
• Support technical projects and gain practical project management experience.
• Develop knowledge of health and safety management, reporting and the implementation of safety improvements.
• Create and improve safety documentation in accordance with the applicable Safety Rules.
• Drive site safety initiatives through offshore inspections and contribute to the achievement of company safety objectives.
• Work alongside qualified Wind Turbine Technicians to gain hands-on operational experience.
• Help ensure that planned work and projects are completed safely, efficiently, within budget and to a high standard.

• Ongoing undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline.
• Eligibility to complete a Year in Industry placement as part of the degree programme.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to organise and coordinate an independent workload while meeting tight deadlines.
• Experience of collaborating in a diverse team environment and engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• Clear motivation for the placement and alignment with current studies and career plans.
• Residence in the UK for at least five years due to the potential requirement for National Security Vetting.

This position is aimed at those currently studying who are eligible for a Year in Industry Placement. For those who will be graduating Summer 2027 we encourage you to apply for our graduate programme which will be advertised in January 2027.

An offer of employment in this role may require holding active or ability to pass National Security vetting to SC level. Failure to obtain and or maintain National Security Vetting to SC may result in the removal of job offers and or existing employment.
