For the Security department of RWE Generation NL, we are looking for a

Sr Advisor physical security (full-time)

As Sr Advisor physical security, you will be the central point of contact for the physical security of our locations in the Netherlands, from Eemshaven to Maasbracht.

The Security department you fall under is integrally responsible for security processes. How you achieve results within this? That is up to you. At RWE we rely on your talents such as the way you take control, make choices and take responsibility for them. You will use your talents in the following activities.

Job content

•  You will advise the management team on security, report and investigate security incidents and act as a sparring partner. You provide feedback and communication of lessons learned and best practices to management
• You develop, support and implement security standards, protocols and procedures
• You will liaise with the Legal, Tax and HR departments on specific security requirements
• Together with Group Security, you coordinate and support emergency services at incidents on the premises and in the buildings
• You provide reports and clear communication on security aspects, both internally and externally
• You ensure that our security personnel have the correct instructions and follow them
• You will analyse security risks, develop appropriate solutions and work closely with internal teams to maintain security standards
• ​​​​​​​You participate in audits, for example in the context of ISO/IEC 27001 compliance
• You identify and follow developments and mandatory laws and regulations regarding security and identify customers' wishes and needs. You translate legal requirements into tasks for your own focus area. In addition, you independently manage themes within the focus area
• You are aware of threats and other security developments and contribute to the preparation and maintenance of the Group security report
• You will be part of the country crisis management team, taking care of the relevant documents
• You provide functional direction to employees and substantive guidance to Security Service Supplier employees (on-site)
• In this position, you will have (national and international) contacts at tactical level
• You act as project leader of (sub)projects and make a substantive contribution to organisation-wide projects

​​​​​​​Job requirements

• HBO education in the field of security or equivalent (e.g. HVK, Integral Safety Science, security or risk management)
• Several years of relevant work experience in physical security of vulnerable sites
• High degree of independence and proactive working style
• Willingness to work on an on-call basis
• Mobility and flexibility regarding working hours and location
• Integrity and stress resistance
• Good knowledge of Dutch and English in word and writing, German is an advantage
• A VOG "Certificate of Good Conduct" is required
• Due to the sensitivity of this feature, additional security screening may be applied
