We are looking for a Financial Accountant to play a key role within the Accounting organisation of RWE Generation. As a financial  accountant, you will be responsible for the financial accounting & reporting activities for several companies in the Netherlands. Next to that you will prepare the financial statements of RWEG NL companies for the board of directors of Generation NL
In your role you are part of a (sub) team consisting of 3 colleagues and led by Head of Accounting & Reporting NL 

About the role 
• Day-to-Day operations for the accounting in SAP (SAP4Hahna) of Dutch Generation entities on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) basis
• Prepare quarterly IFRS reporting for RWE Generation Group reporting within RACE (SAP based application) for fully consolidated Dutch entities 
• Prepare annual statutory reports based on IFRS 
• Ensure good quality of the deliverables to the external group auditor 
• Ensure good interfaces with e.g. Shared Service Center Cap Gemini in Poland, Accounting teams abroad, Treasury, Business control, RWE Consolidation & Reporting and Tax accounting 
• Provide needed ad hoc reporting and deviation analysis for actuals 
• Build a good collaboration within the Generation Financial & Accounting community 
• Contribute and support financial projects if applicable 

Job Requirements and Experience
•    At least HBO (higher vocational education) completed, preferably in Accounting or Controlling, and 2–4 years of working experience in the accounting field
•    Relevant knowledge in the area of accounting and practical experience with IFRS
•    Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of finance and non-finance stakeholders
•    Strong numerical reasoning, high self-motivation, and the ability to accurately post and analyze financials
•    You think in solutions and opportunities and have a drive for continuous improvement
•    Strong practical experience working with SAP and MS Excel
•    Fluent in both oral and written communication in English and Dutch (mandatory)
•    A good team player, open-minded, with a good sense of humor, eager to learn, and a proactive attitude
