Join our dynamic team at Commercial Asset Optimisation (CAO) and be a key player in shaping the future of RWE's power-producing assets. At the heart of the energy transition, we manage an evolving asset and contract portfolio, embracing new technologies and navigating rapid regulatory changes.
 

As the Business Developer for the Netherlands, you’ll focus on sourcing and marketing power from green and flexible assets, working closely with internal teams to develop innovative energy solutions and integrate them seamlessly into our commercial and operational landscape. This is a high-impact role where you will be the primary driver of our growth strategy in a key European market. While the rest of the team is based in Germany to offer support, you will operate with autonomy to achieve ambitious targets, directly contributing to the company's strategic objectives.

Your future plans 

  • Innovate and develop new business and products.
  • Increase our external customer base through strategic initiatives. 
  • Develop effective marketing strategies.
  • Identify and cultivate new leads and customers.
  • Independently negotiate contracts and contribute to the continuous improvement of standards.
  • Lead as sales expert for flexibility products, including batteries, industrial load, and decentral generation.
  • Manage sales activities for our green portfolio within the liquid tenor, covering PPA, direct marketing, and route-to-market contracts.
  • Analyse and optimise our processes together with our CAO desks and IT
     

Your powerful skills 

  • Experience in the energy sector, with a proven track record of success in product management, business development or sales roles
  • Experience with “green” power markets and/or marketing of flexible generation assets
  • Strong interest in the economics of the electricity market and in the operational and technical concepts of power assets
  • Ability to independently manage customers and negotiate contracts
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to simplify complexity and to influence decisions
  • Strategic thinking and experience with analysing and modelling of complex processes
  • Proficiency in both English and Dutch languages

 

Advantageous, but not a must 

  • German or further languages
